2008 series far infrared emitters

With more than 15 design improvements over our 2007 series!

Modern rounded design and top materials like surgical grade stainless steel provide guaranteed lasting quality.

The most advanced design provides the right "sweet spot" in the sauna. American Health Inc has made more than fifteen improvements over our last year's far infrared emitter, which was widely considered the best emitter on the market then. Our 2008 series emitters are larger, and the many design improvements have significantly increased the number of infrared rays that will actually reach the beather.

100% Ceramic Far Infrared Heating Emitters
  • 100% ceramic emitters
  • Highly-efficient ceramic produces far infrared wavelengths that your body will absorb directly as heat.
  • "Concave"-style shape provides a larger "sweet spot". This translates to higher higher absorbtion.
  • Easy to clean, splash-proof.
  • Far infrared wavelengths are comfortable absorbed in the skin and in the tissues beneath the skin.
  • Low electromagnetic field radiation.
  • Housing, infrared reflector and heat shield are Grade 304 Stainless Steel.
  • Highly polished infrared reflector returns 90% of the infrared energy from the rear of the emitter back into the room, resulting in almost twice the number of infrared rays available for absorbtion.
  • Estimated life 10,000 operational hours (used five times a week, it will last at least 38 years!)
  • Lifetime warranty.
  • Built-in ceramic wire terminals for no hassle and easy wiring by your electrician.

2008 Series Far Infrared Emitter by American Health Inc. 250W/120V $316 $267.50 Call!

The 250-Watt emitter produces far-infrared wavelength that are comfortable on the body, even at close ranges.

You need multiple emitters to heat your sauna (four or five for a 4' x 4' room).

We recommend installing the emitters on a simple power or dimmer switch. Infrared Emitters should NOT be controlled with a controller that defines the room temperature.

Health Information
Ceramic infrared emitters create a form of light that is invisible to the eye. But when this light hits your skin, your body will absorb at least 80% of the infrared energy, transforming it to heat. Your body responds with perspiration to regulate its internal temperature. On a microscopic level, this is an active process that excercises the cardiovascular system and burns calories while washing away the small amounts of toxic waste that has accumulated in the cells of every organ during our entire lives.

Installation cut-out dimensions:

6" x 20". Depth is 2.5".
The rectangle should be extended at the top by cutting a half-egg-shaped hole above the rectangle. This will allow greater flow of hot air to prevent excessive wood heating.

Detoxify to reverse and prevent diseases!
  • Promotes detoxification of toxins including heavy metals
  • Boosts immune and cardiovascular systems
  • Relieves pain, especially sore muscles from lactic acid buildup and pain caused by inflamation)
  • Promotes weight loss (because heavy perspiration in a sauna burns up to 600 calories in a half-hour session)
  • Beautifies the skin (by adding energy directly to it and cleansing it deeply)
  • Increases circulation, which brings more oxygen, and therefore more health to every part of the body

Radiant Emission Patterns of Ceramic Emitters

Engineered for optimal absorbtion. Infrared rays always travel in straight lines emanating at right angles to the emitter surface. The concave surface will emit a "concentrated" radiant pattern which is highly effective in a sauna because the sauna bathers will sit in a specific place inside the infrared "zone". In Plain english, American Health designed the shape of the ceramic in its emitters to create the perfect "sweet spot" in the sauna.

Expert Product Reviews

Michael Ducharme, co-owner:

If you are looking for a pure far infrared emitter, this is the best one on the market today.

American Health only uses durable materials that will last a lifetime. The cooler an object, the longer the wavelength (more towards the far infrared spectrum). Long wavelengths, or far infrared, are felt less intensely by the human body. It gives a more natural feeling and it is an excellent choice for saunas, especially the back wall, since emitters installed there will be only inches from the body. This product is available in several different wattages. A higher wattage will make the ceramic hotter, and will produce a range of shorter wavelengths, which are closer to the medium infrared spectrum.

Near infrared (which these emitters do not produce) feels hotter, and sometimes uncomfortably so, especially if you will sit in close proximity to the emitter.

The ceramic itself is shaped to create a sweet spot in the sauna, for your comfort and to ensure that infrared rays are directed towards your body and not lost in other directions. Both the surface area and the shape of an emitter will determine the sweet spot that it creates.

The ceramic in this emitter will reach its optimal operating temperature of around 300 degrees Celcius or 570 Farenheight in around eight minutes. If you turn off the emitter, the ceramic holds its temperature for several minutes, so it will continue to emit far infrared wavelengths.

The housing of this emitter is grade 304 stainless steel. This particular grade of steel is very good at resisting corrosion, even during a lifetime of high heat and humidity of a dual sauna. Stainless steel also provides excellent reflection of infrared heat.

I highly recommend that you use an infrared sauna. And if you're building your own, this emitter will be the one choice you won't regret.
