A typical AmericanSauna Kit includes the following items:
- Walls & Ceiling
Select #1 grade tongue and groove Clear Western Red Cedar. All wall boards are 7 feet long, for vertical installation. Finished thickness
of cedar is 1/2".
Upgrade Options:
- matching wood for the exterior
- Aspen instead of Cedar
- Heater
Appropriately-sized Sauna heater with a five year warranty.
Upgrade Options:
- Benches
Cedar 1 x 4's radius edged material for two straight benches on two levels with predrilled cross members and stainless steel screws. Includes
pre-fabricated wall mount bench support.
- Floor
Cedar 1 x 4's radius edged material for duck board in entrance area.
- Door
Pre-hung sauna door (with window) finished on both sides with tongue & groove cedar.

- Bronzed full pane window
Before you install the sauna, you need to make sure that you have built a frame and insulated the area. For this you will need:
- Stud walls and ceiling joists (typically 2 X 4 spruce studs)
- Insulation (R 12 for walls and ceiling)
- Wiring, often supplied by your electrician
- Smaller units require 14/3 90°C-rated with 15 Amp split breaker
- Larger units require appropriate wire gauge with 30 or 40 amp breakers
